Whole Earth Animism Year Two

An intimate journey through the cycles of the moon and the seasons of the year gathering stories, visions, and guidance from the natural world.

All things return. This year, in a class with limited enrollment to allow for increased participation, we will revisit topics and tales from the preceding year of Whole Earth Animism while simultaneously deepening and expanding our awareness of the ancient teachings of stone and bone. Through guided journaling, collaborative storytelling, and communal revelries, we will create the songlines of a modern-day pilgrimage that leads us back to the lost ways of our ancestors. By the end of the course, we will have a guidebook for ourselves—and to share with others.

Topics in the coming year will include: seeds and storms, flowers and fireflies, mountains and moss…and much more. We will explore themes of birth, death, and rebirth through ballads and folk songs, riddles and jokes, and traditional wisdom tales from around the world—all of which will be invitations to our own imaginative expressions. Participants will be encouraged to cultivate their own ways of sharing these forgotten languages of the animate everything—and have opportunities within the workshop to begin stepping into their own mentorship roles in our growing community.

This course is designed for intensive participation and while every session is recorded and sent to all participants, it is not meant for simply viewing. Please do not sign up unless you can imagine engaging with us at least most of the time.
